Individual Consultation
With her unique perspective, experiences, and knowledge, Jillian helps parents identify the practices and behaviors that will support their short- and long-term parenting goals. She spends time talking with clients to identify their challenges or gaps of awareness and where they want their journey to take them and their children. With the family’s vision in mind, she shares advice, insights, and new ways of thinking about stagnant situations. Jill is available to provide one-off sessions or continual support and provides referrals to other professional interventions for adults and children, as necessary.
Jill offers reflective and practical support in the following areas:
Raising socially conscious kids including discussing race, racism, gender identity and expression, economic justice and more
Becoming body and sex positive
Embracing differences in neurological functioning
Selecting childcare or school
Responding to child behaviors that challenge you
Creating productive routines and transition plans
Understanding and adjusting to changes in children during milestone moments, including feeding, sleeping, potty training, starting school
Choosing the right toys to engage young learners without an overwhelming amount of mess
Organizing your spaces to promote productive play
With the powers of technology, sessions with Jill can be virtual, including video conferencing, texting (synchronous or asynchronous), and old fashioned phone calls. In-person sessions are available for those who prefer and live within the central New Jersey/southeastern Pennsylvania region.
Parenting guidance sessions with Jillian are priced based on the type of delivery method (virtual, asynchronous, in-person, etc), the scope of the topic to be discussed, and the expected length of the contract relationship. Rates will fall in the range of $75 to $150 per hour.
